The storm arrived right on the predicted time this morning bringing with it freezing rain, sleet, and generally a wintery mess. Thankfully no snow yet with it, but I'm still not venturing out, even across the street to get my mail with everything iced over.
Instead I've been busy sewing away here in my nice warm house. First project today was to put together the blocks for the current quilt in progress and then put the top together. The blocks were based on the Indiana star pattern.
At this point the quilt top measures 54" by 72". Blocks are 18 inches in size. Next for this quilt I need to go stash-diving and see what I have that would work for the border. There's gotta be something somewhere in three boxes of blues, 1 box of reds, and at least one box of patriotic fab's. lol.............
Gratitudes
1. Did not have to go into school today with the freezing rain and ice
2. Platelets were up even more last time I was in for check.
Love your quilt.n stay safe and warm!

ReplyDeleteI love the block and your quilt using it. I hope to use that block and make scrappy--using stash. Thanks for the idea. PTL for the upswing on the platelets.
ReplyDeleteI really love this view of it. Thankful for a day to sew=)
ReplyDeletesimple but gorgeous pattern! It is lovely!
ReplyDeleteYou are smart to stay in. I have never seen an ice storm in person, but pictures on the internet are enough to scare me.
Have a great day, Moira.
