Playing with color for submission block

I need to get the block for the contest made so I can submit it....and am having trouble deciding what colors I want to use.   living where I do I have to use what is in the stash ( a really good thing given how much I already have!).

With this block I want 4 distinct colors in it - so here are the color choices that I am playing iwth at this point.   Which do you think works best?

  1. I would go with the last set of fabrics, but ... It IS your quilt block. Welcome back to quilting--I know that has to feel good!

  2. If you are looking for four distinct colors, #3 it is!! Can't wait to see what you do with them!!!

  3. I would go with the second set of colors. And I really like the way your yellow & black sample block turned out.

  4. If you want 4 distinct colors, the third one has to be it. I liked the first one, but that is really only 2 colors. I didn't think the second one worked because there is not enough contrast between the 2 blues.

  5. They would all look good, but I think the third one shows contrast better because the mediums are also different colors.
