New Tool....or Is That Toy.....
I admit it, I'm old school when it comes to designing my applique patterns - I still draw them up by hand.
It has always been a pain for me to get my applique patterns drawn up because it is difficult to see through the paper to what is below unless i'm using tracing paper.
So this week I gave in and invested in one of the new light pads that are out there now. And I'm loving it! Ordered it on Wednesday early in the afternoon, and thanks to having Amazon Prime it was delivered before 7 pm that evening. Drew up two patterns for my teddy bear series in less than half the time it would have taken me before getting this.
Lighter-weight than an Ipad, this is about the size of an 11" by 14" piece of paper. It is powered through a USB port on the computer, but if you had a wall plug with a long cord and a micro-USB connection on the other end that would also work to power it. I bought mine through Amazon and the price was reasonable. If you do any amount of tracing I would highly recommend getting one! And nope, I'm not an affiliate.
Gratitudes:
1. A big (for me!) weight loss this week.
2. The new light pad works wonderfully!
Yea on weight. Hard to understand why it goes on so easily and off so hard and slow. I talk from experience. Keep up the good work.
ReplyDeleteYea on light box. You will use often.
Blessings
Congratulations on the weight loss! I'm just bouncing up and down, the same few pounds over and over. Stress eating, no doubt. The lightpad looks more easily used than my light box, but mine will have to do for now. I can't justify getting something else that does the same job. Maybe when I'm more out of debt. You did the right thing, though, because it's a real time saver for your business.
