ScrapHappy October 2021

Welcome to ScrapHappy Day, the day where we share what kind of scrappy projects we've  been working on over the last month.

Blocks for memory quilt #6 were finished and assembled.  This used all of the strings and strips from the inherited stash.  Sashing on blocks was a remnant from my stash.
Inspiration pic for memory quilt #7.   Yes, the pic was taken in the bathroom at a roadside rest stop here in AZ.

I started using up the remaining 2.5" cut squares from the inherited stash to make these blocks.  WOW background squares were cut from scraps several yrs ago.    Have finished 4 more blocks, but no pics of them yet.
Squares left to use up.   Should be able to get about 35 or 40 finished blocks all total.
A mini wall-hanging was made using scraps and a kit my mom had picked up at the local 2nd hand store.   Background, backing, binding and batting were all scraps.

More postcards were finished up this month.  Blue flowers were made from a pair of drawstrings that I cut off a pair of capris.

Don't forget to check out what everyone else has been doing this month.

What an ingenious use for drawstrings and I'm impressed that you were inspired in a rest room. Of course the cat is wonderful and ready in time for Halloween.

Your memory quilt with the strings is right up my alley! Darling cat too.

Love that memory quilt, it reminds me of a book case (or perhaps that's only MY bookcases) crammed with books.
